Calligraphy Yoga combines the philosophy of Indian Yoga, Chinese Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Calligraphy.

The movements are flowing just like water would move, and you start to feel the effect of this practice very quickly. Calligraphy Yoga is a very gentle way to move.  Incorporating steady breathing, helps move the Qi though the chakra system for additional support. Calligraphy Yoga is about relaxing, helping the body to loosen up, rebalance and rebuild internal strength and life force.  

Chair Calligraphy Yoga can be offered for those with difficulty standing, seniors and the non ambulatory. 


Sound Baths are a gift of relaxation to yourself to help gain the benefits from meditation, even to those who have not yet learned how to access these states on their own.  Sound is the vehicle that allows a person a deep, relaxed quick exploration of different meditative states. 

A sound bath begins with each person lying down on a comfortable mat often with cushioning and an eye mask. The experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies being introduced in smooth succession, giving you the opportunity to go inward on your own terms.  Bruce uses gongs, flutes and crystal bowels for sound meditations and healing.

Bruce is currently a sound practitioner at Zen Soul Balance and can be booked for group or private sessions.

Reiki is a form of energy healing. Reiki emerged in Japan in the late 1800's and involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner's palms to their patient.  Energy healing has been used for centuries in various forms. Calligraphy Yoga combined with Reiki and Sound,  effects the energy fields around the body.  Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.  Improving the flow of energy around the body, can enable relaxation, reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Bruce has received his Reiki Master Level III.

Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. It is a great practise for everyone, as it deepens flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness. The gentle nature of the class also makes it perfect for beginners.
